Job Summary

Verify physician orders and procedures, then independently operate equipment to complete imaging tasks according to protocol, including placement of nasogastric tubes, IVs, and urinary catheters. Review patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality standards and complete timely quality control procedures. Serve as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students while adapting communication styles to specific patient populations. Work a flexible schedule including 24/7 coverage, weekends, holidays, and on-call availability across multiple facilities. Requires an approved radiologic technology program and ARRT registration or eligibility within 90 days of employment.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of an approved radiologic technology program
  • Radiologic technology experience
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) OR American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registry eligible, registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 90 days of employment, and temporary state license required
  • Current unrestricted license in the state of practice
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule (e.g. 24/7, weekend, holiday, on call availability) and travel throughout and between facilities
