Job Summary
Provide services to patients under direct supervision by preparing and positioning them, selecting exposure factors accurately, and administering contrast media and medications within scope of practice. Implement radiation protection and safety standards while assisting supervising technologists and physicians in various imaging procedures. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly department including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms. Requires enrollment in an accredited Radiology program and BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Schedule is PRN at UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham.
Required Qualifications
- Required to be enrolled in the first semester of an accredited Radiology program
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required
- High school diploma equivalency
- Enrolled in an accredited program specific to discipline
