Job Summary
Imaging Engineer III installs, inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, calibrates, and verifies the performance of complex medical imaging equipment (MRI, CT, Cath-Labs, Radiation Oncology, and related modalities). Serves as an advisor to clinical staff on equipment specifications, safe operation, and proper use; mentors peers and supports regulatory compliance, inventory management, and department improvement. Responsibilities include performing performance assurance inspections, maintenance, and operation verification procedures; coordinating with subcontractors and vendors; maintaining equipment databases and PA schedules; ensuring accuracy of service documentation; collaborating with Medical Physicist on radiation outputs for safety and compliance; and overseeing inventory inspections and lifecycle management. Requires a minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with medical imaging systems and a 2-year technical/electronics degree (or equivalent); Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology preferred; strong computer, data interpretation, and customer service skills; willingness to travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of medical imaging equipment
- 2 year degree in a technical/electronics field or equivalent experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology preferred
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and networking applications
- Ability to interpret error codes and computer data related to imaging systems
- Travel may be required based on customer or business needs
- Valid driver’s license
