Job Summary
Imaging Engineer I: installs, inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, calibrates, and verifies performance of medical imaging equipment (radiography, mammography, ultrasound, bone density, etc.); ensures regulatory compliance; manages inventory; may supervise subcontractors and advise others on technical matters; requires a 2-year degree in a technical/electronics field or equivalent (with waiver for certifications);Travel may be required; strong communication and customer-service skills; proficient in Microsoft Office and networking; valid driver’s license; ability to work across clinical engineering and service operations; ongoing training to stay current with regulatory and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- 2 year degree in a technical/electronics field or equivalent experience required
- This requirement will be waived if the applicant has received the TRIMEDX Trained Certification or completed an equivalent biomedical related certification program
- 6 months experience in the repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of medical imaging equipment preferred
- Valid drivers license required; variable travel requirements depending on primary site that may require use of personal vehicle
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel) and networking applications required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher acceptable alternative
- TRIMEDX Trained Certification or equivalent biomedical certification (waiver of 2-year degree)
