Job Summary
Operate CNC machines to cut and build rollers, set up equipment, and perform machine shop and mold press operations to support assembly. Measure and set up machines for high-volume part production, using band saws, hand tools, calipers, and milling, turning, drilling, and deburring techniques. Detect defective materials and questionable conditions to report to management, while maintaining a clean work area and performing preventative maintenance. Follow safety regulations and comply with Daifuku's QMS policies to ensure sustainable process outputs and continuous improvement. Requires ability to read blueprints, exact tape measurements, and standard metric units.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience
- Ability to use a band saw, hand tools and calipers and perform milling, turning, drilling, taping, deburring, molding, and all bench operations
- Ability to read blueprints
- Basic math skills
- Knowledge of standard and metric measurements
- Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Team orientation
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to read exact measurements on a tape measure without assistance
