Job Summary
Diagnose and repair mechanical and basic electrical problems in Automated Material Handling systems using technical drawings. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime while conducting routine equipment inspections. Document all maintenance activities and repairs, maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas. Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues, inventory management, and spare parts tracking. Follow OSHA and internal safety standards, including all industrial work practices. Requires a passport with ability to travel to Canada and Mexico. Hourly rate $25.00-$38.00.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years' experience working as an automotive technician, HVAC system, elevator repair, electrician, building maintenance or experience working with machinery or equivalent experience
- Must possess a passport along with the ability to travel to Canada and Mexico
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and basic electrical defects
- Ability to interpret both mechanical drawings
- Self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented
- Knowledge of safe industrial work practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service orientation
- Ability to work in and contribute to a team setting
- Intermediate computer skills including MS Office
- Ability to follow maintenance manuals and procedures to repair equipment
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years working in material handling industry preferred but not required
- Experience with CMMS platform a plus
- Working knowledge of handheld and power tools and how to use them
- Ability to assist in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of all material handling equipment and components is a plus
