Job Summary
Enter and maintain student objectives in computerized IEP databases, providing teachers with draft IEPs based on checklists. Elicit parent input for evaluations, contact families to schedule meetings, and complete notices with teacher and principal signatures. Disseminate required forms, progress checks, and transition plan details to classroom teachers while maintaining building databases of IEP dates and evaluation schedules. Monitor due dates, suspension numbers, and paperwork compliance, serving as a resource for IEP software updates and training. Maintain student and family confidentiality throughout all processes.
Required Qualifications
- Two years successful post high school education
- District experience
- Constant hearing
- Hand-eye coordination/mind-eye coordination
- Intermittent keyboarding and telephoning
- Frequent repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Computer proficiency in spreadsheets
- Computer proficiency in databases
- Computer proficiency in word processing
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others
- Demonstrated organizational skills
- Post-Offer Criminal Background Check
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year of work experience in a position requiring interpersonal interaction skills
- Knowledge of programming for students with disabilities
