Job Summary

Conduct Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy through 1:1 sessions, parent consultation, and case management for children with autism and developmental disorders. Update the electronic data collection system (Catalyst) with client goals, submit weekly source documentation, and render schedules by due dates. Perform assessments under supervision, including administering tools like the Adaptive Behavior Assessment System, and write progress reports with baseline and current data. Oversee therapist performance by modeling strategies, delegating tasks, and ensuring staff meets weekly and monthly requirements. Provide ongoing parent consultation on behavior intervention plans, IEP issues, and teaching strategies while maintaining HIPAA compliance for all client communications.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Level degree
  • Enrolled or enrolling in a master's level program (or higher)
  • Minimum of 600 hours accrued towards BCBA supervision within a 6-month time period
  • CPR or BLS certification (must be current)
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Computer literacy in Catalyst (electronic data collection system)
  • Minimum of 2 years working with children diagnosed with Autism or other related developmental disorders
  • Ability to work weekends as needed/required by the company
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an outside and office setting
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight
  • Ability to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination
  • Ability to use electronic devices
  • Visual acuity for reading, interpreting data, observing client behavior, and ensuring a safe environment
  • Ability to see, hear, and speak articulately
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to provide clear and concise written and verbal instructions to subordinates
  • HIPAA compliance
  • Ability to render and lock schedule by due date
  • Ability to create schedule and update NPA Works for the following week
  • Ability to respond to all emails and phone calls within 24 business hours
  • Ability to provide a minimum of a 2-week notice for any vacation request
  • Ability to submit weekly source documentation for every rendered billable session
  • Ability to complete all assigned tasks on time
  • Ability to attend all companywide trainings
  • Ability to update Catalyst with all client goals
  • Ability to discuss case details with supervisor when starting new cases
  • Ability to overlap with therapist(s) as needed (minimum of two client overlaps per month)
  • Ability to monitor weekly and monthly requirements for assigned cases
  • Ability to demonstrate assertiveness when addressing concerns
  • Ability to fill in necessary hours to maximize every contract
  • Ability to provide appropriate feedback to families
  • Ability to conduct 1:1 sessions
  • Ability to address therapists concerns in a prompt manner
  • Ability to delegate tasks to therapists as needed
  • Ability to model appropriate strategies to therapists when overlapping
  • Ability to provide mentorship to therapists as needed
  • Ability to be assertive in communication and problem solving with families/school
  • Ability to set goals as necessary for therapists and follow up with goals from other supervisors
  • Ability to provide ongoing parent consultation
  • Ability to observe the client in various settings and situations
  • Ability to provide consultation regarding IEP issues and present levels
  • Ability to ensure coordination of care across service deliveries
  • Ability to complete progress reports by assigned due dates
  • Ability to update the progress with baseline, previous and current data
  • Ability to submit reports by due date
  • Ability to complete all revisions needed by assigned due dates
  • Ability to perform assessments under the oversight of an assigned BCBA/Clinical Supervisor, Senior Clinical Supervisor, or director
  • Ability to work with families to arrange observation dates
  • Ability to conduct assessment tools (e.g., the Adaptive Behavior Assessment System (ABAS))
  • Ability to take clear, concise and relevant notes on observations of behavior, caregiver and interview process
  • Ability to write goals following each funding sources and/or intended submittal source requirements
  • Ability to administer tests, surveys and other informal assessment tools
  • Ability to clearly summarize the results of the conducted assessment and all components
  • Ability to respond to all assessment correspondences within 24 business hours
  • Ability to submit first drafts of completed assessment to the BCBA/Clinical Supervisor prior to due date
  • Ability to meet all deadlines associated with assessment submittal
  • Ability to conduct assessments for new or current clients
  • Ability to respond to every communication attempt with both clients and internal staff within 24 business hours
  • Ability to communicate all policy/protocol related issues immediately to Human Resources department
  • Ability to communicate any Information and Technology (IT) issues that would hinder the ability to perform work duties
  • Fluency in updated/current policies
  • Ability to adhere to policies and ensure knowledge of these policies is followed through
  • Minimum of 6 hours a day (a minimum of 6 hours must be billable to a client) during weekdays, Monday-Friday
  • Minimum of 30 client billable hours per week
  • Availability to commute to, and provide direct oversight in, the Inland Empire Region
  • Availability to commute to the region's physical office location, as needed
  • Availability to commute to CSH headquarters (located in Costa Mesa) on an as-needed basis

Desired Qualifications

  • Scheduled to sit for the BCBA exam within 3 months from completion of BCBA supervision hours
