Job Summary
Identity Engineer opportunity at Auckland Council to design, implement, and support enterprise identity and access management across cloud and hybrid environments. You will deliver IAM capabilities including SSO, MFA, identity federation, IAM governance (RBAC/ABAC, least privilege), PAM, and integration of identity services with applications and cloud platforms. Role involves collaborating with Architecture, Platform Engineering, Security Operations, and Application teams, remediating identity and access control gaps, contributing to cloud migration initiatives, maintaining operational documentation, and maturing the IAM capability for over 10,000 workforce users. Requires strong technical IAM experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, SSO/MFA, SAML/OAuth/OpenID Connect, and relevant certifications are highly regarded.
