Identity & Access Management (IAM) Analyst

Job Summary
Process user access requests for onboarding, role changes, and offboarding while creating, modifying, and disabling accounts across Active Directory and Okta. Administer group memberships and permissions using the principle of least privilege, then troubleshoot issues like lockouts and authentication failures. Maintain IAM tickets within SLAs, collaborate with IT ServiceDesk and HR to validate requirements, and monitor activity for anomalies. Support periodic access reviews, audits, and compliance initiatives by generating reports and remediating findings. Maintain accurate documentation of IAM processes and system configurations, identify automation opportunities, and provide guidance to end users on access tools. Escalate complex issues to senior personnel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or user account administration
- Experience working in a fast-paced, ticket-driven environment
- Familiarity with identity and access management concepts and user lifecycle processes
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Working knowledge of Active Directory (user and group management)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to use administrative tools or scripts for bulk account operations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with teams and provide strong customer service
- Ability to follow established procedures and maintain compliance with security standards
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with Okta or similar SSO/IAM platforms
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow)
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, Okta)
