Job Summary
Manage end-to-end user access lifecycles by serving as the operational contact for IAM ticketing, handling access requests, and driving process improvements through automation. Guide joiner, mover, and leaver journeys by partnering with HR Ops to ensure timely onboarding and seamless permission updates for employees and contractors. Administer privileged and administrative access while maintaining accurate identity data across systems, including group memberships and SaaS integrations. Configure Single Sign-On (SSO) for new tools, define access groups, and troubleshoot sign-in flows using Microsoft Entra ID, SAML, and OAuth 2.0 standards. Support audit readiness by running periodic access reviews and compiling documentation for compliance requests, all while collaborating with internal system owners and third-party vendors to resolve access challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Background in an IT or Identity & Access Management role using a modern identity provider
- Practical experience handling joiner, mover, and leaver work, access requests, or user administration
- Appreciation for why accurate access matters to people's day-to-day work
- Comfortable with access controls like multi-factor authentication and conditional access
- Understanding of the value of clear evidence and audit trails
- Practical experience configuring enterprise SSO alongside vendors or app owners—backed by an understanding of SAML and OAuth 2.0
- Able to independently analyze and troubleshoot sign-in flows to pinpoint integration issues before escalating
- Exposure to automated user provisioning (SCIM), or an understanding of the concepts with an eagerness to build on them
- Comfortable with scripting or excited to learn
- Able to communicate thoughtfully with colleagues across different departments
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID
- Experience with a comparable platform to Microsoft Entra ID
- Comfortable viewing access through a security and compliance lens
- Understanding of modern sign-in options—from one-time codes to authenticator apps, passkeys, and certificates—and why some offer stronger protection
- Strong desire to learn SAML and OAuth 2.0
- Thoughtful and precise in your approach, recognizing that identity work carries a low tolerance for mistakes
