Job Summary
Oversee daily operations of a residential program for individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring quality care, regulatory compliance, and a safe, supportive environment. Supervise and develop staff, monitor individual progress, coordinate medical and behavioral services, and maintain accurate documentation. Collaborate with individuals, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote person-centered services and positive resident outcomes. Responsibilities include staffing and training, program compliance, medical care oversight, documentation and reporting, on-call emergency coverage, and effective communication with families and guardians.
Required Qualifications
- B.A. Degree in Human Services or related field
- 2+ years’ experience working in a similar environment, with 1 year in a supervisory role
- Knowledge of Developmental Disabilities
- Ability to learn basic sign language
- Clean NYS Driver’s License
- MS Office proficiency
- AMAP and First Aid/CPR/AED certification a plus
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to work in-person in New York City (NY) for at least 3 days or more per week.
