Job Summary
Coordinate the Credit Risk Management Division's activities for Financial Institutions and Infrastructure and Energy, including leading a team of credit risk officers to support project origination, execution, and monitoring. Serve as the voting risk member in assigned Delivery Units, performing independent credit risk assessments on complex transactions by reviewing financing structures, models, and legal documentation to assess risk and recommend mitigants. Lead the development of credit risk capabilities across sectors through training frameworks, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and the creation of thought leadership products. Supervise internal credit risk ratings, advise on material waivers, and work with the Special Assets Division on debt restructuring strategies. Formulate recommendations for senior management committees and participate in client meetings to provide expert advice and strengthen stakeholder relationships.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in finance, business administration, engineering, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role
- At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in a credit risk-related function
- Experience in a similar role at a peer institution, financial services provider, or professional services firms
- Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written
- Pass a background check to the satisfaction of the IDB Group
