Job Summary
Lead quality, compliance, and risk programs by monitoring quality indicators, patient outcomes, and performance trends while driving investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action planning. Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and compliance programs to support regulatory surveys, accreditation visits, and readiness activities. Manage risk identification, reporting, and mitigation; educate staff on regulatory expectations; and partner with clinical, operational, HR, and executive teams to prepare reports for leadership. Track improvement plans, support grievance and incident review processes, and help organizations respond to changing regulations. Build practical systems for employees across rural hospitals, clinics, and community healthcare organizations.
Required Qualifications
- Progressive experience in healthcare quality, compliance, risk, patient safety, infection prevention, or regulatory affairs
- Previous leadership experience as a director, manager, officer, supervisor, or comparable professional
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, quality improvement, and risk-management practices
- Experience with audits, investigations, corrective action plans, or survey readiness
- Strong analytical, communication, education, and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work collaboratively across clinical and operational departments
- Experience with rural hospitals, Critical Access Hospitals, FQHCs, public hospital districts, long-term care, or community healthcare organizations
- Relevant education, licensure, or certification based on the position
- A practical, fair, and relationship-focused leadership style
