Job Summary
Provide operational leadership for facilities, environmental services, dietary, supply chain, or security departments in Idaho rural healthcare organizations. Maintain safe, clean, functional environments while managing preventive maintenance, utilities, infrastructure, and building systems. Oversee food service operations, purchasing, inventory, and vendor relationships, and support capital planning, renovations, and equipment replacement. Manage department budgets, staffing, and scheduling while recruiting, training, and developing employees. Prepare for inspections, audits, and emergency exercises, collaborating with clinical and administrative leaders to ensure essential services remain dependable during disruptions. Identify practical improvements for efficiency, safety, and service quality. This confidential network connects leaders with current or upcoming director and supervisory roles across Critical Access Hospitals, rural health clinics, and community healthcare systems.
Required Qualifications
- Progressive experience in healthcare facilities, environmental services, food and nutrition, supply chain, materials management, security, safety, or another support-services area
- Previous leadership experience as a director, manager, supervisor, or comparable professional
- Strong knowledge of the regulations, safety standards, and operational requirements relevant to the position
- Experience managing teams, budgets, vendors, inventory, equipment, or facilities
- The ability to prioritize competing needs and respond calmly to operational challenges
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working collaboratively with clinical and administrative departments
- Rural hospital, Critical Access Hospital, public hospital district, long-term care, FQHC, or community healthcare experience
- Relevant education, certification, or technical credentials based on the position
- A visible, dependable, and service-focused leadership style
