Job Summary

Provide daily leadership and support to nursing teams while overseeing staffing, scheduling, patient flow, and nursing operations. Mentor staff, strengthen engagement, and respond to clinical or operational challenges by collaborating with physicians and department leaders. Monitor quality standards, develop policies, and assist with regulatory readiness and workforce planning to ensure stable, patient-centered care across rural hospitals, clinics, and long-term care organizations. This role requires flexibility, sound judgment, and the ability to build trust in Idaho's remote healthcare settings.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse licensure or eligibility for Idaho licensure
  • Progressive nursing experience
  • Previous leadership experience as a nurse manager, supervisor, house supervisor, director, or comparable nursing leader
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience supporting staffing, scheduling, employee development, or nursing operations
  • Knowledge of quality, patient safety, regulatory requirements, and nursing standards
  • The ability to remain calm, visible, and supportive during challenging situations
  • Experience with rural hospitals, Critical Access Hospitals, public hospital districts, clinics, long-term care, or community healthcare organizations
  • Relevant education and certification based on the specific position
  • A collaborative, practical, and relationship-focused leadership style

Desired Qualifications

  • Some opportunities may require or prefer a bachelor's degree in nursing, a master's degree, specialty certification, or previous experience within a particular clinical department
