Job Summary
Deliver forensic and risk advisory engagements by investigating alleged violations of rules and regulations, conducting regulatory compliance reviews, and performing fraud risk assessments. Gather, cleanse, and validate financial and operational data from multiple sources to identify anomalies and trends using Excel and data analytics tools. Prepare high-quality working papers and draft comprehensive reports summarizing procedures, findings, and conclusions for client deliverables. Collaborate closely with team members, provide guidance to less experienced colleagues, and support the preparation of presentations.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law or a related field (Business, Management, etc.)
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- Ideally in audit or forensic services in a Big4 or similar professional services firm
- Ideally in (fraud) risk management, (fraud) investigations, regulatory compliance, internal audit or other financial audit / assurance roles
- Experience managing your own work and contributing to small workstreams within engagements of low to medium complexity
- Fluency in English – very good to excellent writing and oral proficiency
- Romanian – professional working proficiency
Desired Qualifications
- Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles; ability to read and interpret financial statements
- Very good MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to work with databases
- Experience with data analytics or visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, ACL, IDEA, SQL)
- Exposure to IFRS and Romanian GAAP
- Awareness of basic forensic, audit, internal control or risk management concepts
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or similar professional qualifications
- Clear intention to pursue such certifications
