Job Summary
Lead audit engagements for Romanian and international clients, ensuring delivery in line with KPMG audit methodology and quality standards. Coordinate, coach, and develop junior team members through on-the-job training and structured performance feedback. Review audit work, exercise professional judgment, and ensure compliance with accounting, auditing, and independence requirements. Build and maintain strong professional relationships with client management and key stakeholders. Contribute to the growth of the audit client portfolio through relationship building, opportunity identification, and proposal support. This role requires ACCA, CAFR, or similar qualifications and at least six years of audit experience in Commercial and/or Financial Services. Fluency in English and Romanian is essential, with knowledge of Romanian Accounting Standards and IFRS. The position is Level 4.i (Manager 1) within the Audit Core team, offering flexible working arrangements and a hybrid schedule.
Required Qualifications
- ACCA, CAFR, or other similar accounting frameworks
- At least 6 years of experience in audit and assurance services for medium to large clients within Commercial and/or Financial Services industries
- Strong knowledge of Romanian Accounting Standards (RAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Good knowledge of the Romanian market and local business environment
- Proven experience in leading teams, managing performance, and mentoring junior professionals
- Ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure and manage tight deadlines effectively
- Excellent English and Romanian (written & spoken)
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and committed to collaboration in a professional services environment
