Job Summary
Perform full accounting exercises, review entries from junior team members, and ensure all records comply with Romanian regulations. Prepare tax returns, calculate liabilities for VAT and Corporate Income Tax, and manage cash disbursements and petty cash reconciliation. Analyze accounting records, support yearly audits, and coach junior accountants on professional competency. Work independently with minimal guidance, handling multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment while collaborating with senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- University Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience of minimum 5 years in accounting and tax compliance outsourcing
- English and Excel skills – intermediate to advanced
- Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty
- The individual will be expected to work with minimal up-front guidance and take ownership of his / her work product
Desired Qualifications
- CECCAR member, ACCA would be a plus
- Advanced knowledge on the use of accounting software – Winmentor while for SAP, Navision, Ciel or other ERP would be a plus
- Experience in a working methodology that uses automated postings and OCR would be a plus
