Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain data acquisition, processing, and storage systems for aerospace ground test environments using C++, Python, and Fortran. Create configurable software that interfaces with hardware, perform rigorous testing and verification, and enforce security protocols to meet Federal Information Assurance requirements. Manage system configuration and support deployment, installation, and maintenance while preparing engineering studies and reports. Work within an integrated team fostering openness and innovation, with occasional extended hours and weekend support for critical contractual needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering or a related scientific discipline from an accredited college or university
- L07: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- L08: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Relevant work experience or college coursework in software engineering including design, coding, configuration control and maintenance
- Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance and the AEDC local area network
- Current U. S. Citizenship required

- It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy
Desired Qualifications
- B.S. degree or post-graduate coursework in a relevant field is preferred
- A strong aptitude for problem-solving and a demonstrated passion for learning new technologies
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) and concepts like sprints
- Experience programming real-time applications is a plus
- Experience or academic coursework in Graphical User Interface (GUI) development
- Experience or academic coursework creating software design documentation, including UML diagrams (e.g., class, sequence, or case diagrams)
- CompTIA Security+ Certification, or higher-level security certification, is preferred
- Knowledge of The Software Development LifeCycle (SDLC)
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming concepts
- Knowledge of major industry or regulatory standards and design criteria pertinent to Instrumentation, Data, and Controls (ID&C) Software engineering discipline
- Active DoD Security Clearance
