ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

Assess, monitor, and provide comprehensive nursing care for critically ill patients while recognizing and managing emergent changes in patient condition. Administer medications and intravenous therapies, operate advanced critical care equipment including ventilators and cardiac monitors, and collaborate with physicians to implement evidence-based plans of care. Document clinical progress accurately in electronic medical records and educate patients and families while advocating for their rights. This role supports healthcare programs improving patient care and operational readiness for U.S. government and contractor personnel stationed in Iraq.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program with an Associate, Bachelor, Master of Science in Nursing, or Doctor of Nursing Practice degree
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license from any U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
  • 3+ years of ICU or critical care experience, including 6 months of direct patient care within the last year
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card holder required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an MRPT U.S. Government security clearance
  • Valid U.S. passport with at least 18 months remaining before expiration and maintained throughout the assignment
  • Ability to meet program physical readiness requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to perform duties involving prolonged standing, sitting, bending, stooping, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds
  • Assignment: International relocation required

Desired Qualifications

  • CCRN certification
  • ATLS certification
  • Experience providing healthcare services within military or government-supported healthcare environments
  • Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
