ICU Nurse

Perform Apheresis procedures autonomously in critical care, emergency rooms, and outpatient centers, including plasma exchange, red cell exchange, and leukapheresis. Assess patient status relative to therapeutic apheresis, coordinate closely with physicians to arrange treatments, and evaluate medication compatibility for safety. Perform venipunctures, access central venous catheters, and assemble, restock, and maintain supplies and equipment. Act as a consultant to external health care personnel about clinical apheresis and explain procedures to patients and families. Variable 1st shift Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with rotating on-call requirements. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse and CPR certification are required.
