Job Summary
Perform therapeutic apheresis procedures autonomously in critical care, emergency, and outpatient settings, including plasma exchange, leukapheresis, and stem cell harvests. Assess patient status relative to procedures, coordinate closely with physicians to arrange treatments, and act as a consultant to external healthcare personnel. Perform venipunctures, access central venous catheters, and maintain supplies and equipment in a state of readiness. Variable 1st shift Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with rotating on-call duties. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse and CPR certification required.
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
- CPR certification
- Bachelor's degree OR a combination of education and work experience
- Two years of experience in medical/surgical or critical care nursing
- Good vein selection and venipuncture skills
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively discuss procedures and medical issues with patients, families, and physicians
- A current, valid driver's license
- A good driving record
- COVID-19 vaccination status (fully vaccinated or approved exemption process initiated)
