Job Summary
Manage all estimating activities for low voltage projects including structured cabling, ISP, access control, video surveillance, AV, and DAS systems. Review bid opportunities for scope, risk, contract requirements, and profitability while developing detailed labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor estimates. Lead proposal creation including scopes of work, pricing narratives, and compliance documentation, coordinating with sales, engineering, and operations to ensure accurate submissions. Establish pricing strategies aligned with company objectives and maintain vendor pricing and cost databases. Assist with designing systems, conducting post-award reviews, and creating As-Builts for closeout. Requires 2+ years of estimating experience, Bachelor's degree preferred, and proficiency in tools like OnScreen Takeoff or QuickBid. Office-based with occasional job site visits in a fast-paced bidding environment.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of estimating experience in low voltage, electrical, or technology systems industries
- Proven experience preparing competitive bids and proposals for commercial and industrial projects
- Strong understanding of low voltage systems, labor productivity, and material costs
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Experience with estimating software and tools (e.g., OnScreen Takeoff(OST), QuickBid, Bluebeam, Excel, Revit, AutoCAD, Revizto or similar)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
- RCDD & BICSI experience is highly encouraged & preferred
