ICT Designer II

Job Summary
Design structured cabling, telecommunications, and low-voltage systems for new construction and renovation projects across healthcare, education, and data centers. Produce construction documentation in Revit and AutoCAD, including floor plans, device layouts, and specifications, while preparing basis-of-design narratives and CSI-format specs. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to deliver integrated technology designs, manage site surveys, and oversee the full project lifecycle from concept through closeout. Perform QA/QC reviews to ensure compliance with BICSI, NEC, and NFPA standards. Work independently in a fully remote environment, leveraging AI and automation to improve efficiency. Mentor junior designers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within a collaborative, innovation-driven team.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years of ICT, low-voltage, or technology systems design experience within the AEC industry
- Experience producing construction documents and technical specifications for ICT and low-voltage systems
- Strong understanding of: Structured cabling
- Strong understanding of: Telecommunications spaces
- Strong understanding of: Data center infrastructure
- Strong understanding of: Wireless technologies
- Strong understanding of: Related ICT systems
- Knowledge of BICSI, NEC, NFPA, EIA/TIA, and other applicable industry standards
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
- Experience using Bluebeam, Microsoft 365, Smartsheet, or similar collaboration tools
- Strong communication, organization, and project coordination skills
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
- Understanding of BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred
- Industry certifications such as BICSI RCDD, CTS, PSP, or similar are preferred
- Experience incorporating AI, automation, analytics, or emerging technologies into engineering or design workflows is highly desirable
