Job Summary
Cyber Security Engineer bridging IT security and plant-floor OT in heavy manufacturing. Design, deploy, and maintain cybersecurity controls to safeguard continuous-flow and batch-processing environments (cement, readymix, asphalt); implement network segmentation (Purdue Model), secure remote access, endpoint protection, backup/recovery, and patch management. Monitor OT with SIEM, participate in incident response planning; collaborate with site engineers to foster cybersecurity awareness across distributed plant environments. Requires 5+ years in IT/OT operations or industrial cybersecurity and a BS in a related field. Hybrid work arrangement based at the Atlanta corporate office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Industrial Cybersecurity
- 5+ years of experience in IT/OT operations, system administration, or industrial cybersecurity engineering
- Deep understanding of OT networks and Purdue Model
- Experience with Windows Server/Workstations, industrial networking, virtualization, backup/disaster recovery
- Experience with CPS visibility platforms (e.g., Claroty, Armis) and security tooling (Endpoint Protection, Network Security)
- Knowledge of ISA/IEC 62443, NIST CSF 2.0, ISO 27001
- Preferred certifications include SANS/GIAC (GICSP, GRID, GCIP) and CISSP or CCNA
- Excellent interpersonal and technical documentation skills
- Ability to translate security risks into operational impact for plant personnel
