Job Summary
Perform civil engineering work focused on site design components including layout, yard piping, paving, grading, and stormwater infrastructure. Execute conceptual and preliminary design activities through site visits, fieldwork, alternatives analysis, and report preparation. Complete detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications for residential or commercial sites, incorporating stormwater hydraulic modeling. Review contractor submittals for conformance with contract drawings and coordinate engineering services during construction. Serve as civil engineer for large multi-discipline projects, preparing technical memoranda and electronic deliverables. Requires a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, three years of experience in site development and stormwater, and proficiency in Civil 3D and ICPR.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil/site development, stormwater, and permitting
- Ability to develop and oversee drawings for civil plans (site layout, piping, grading, drainage, and paving) from sketches
- Experience with the planning and design of layout and site design projects
- Experience with site development requirements and permitting; experience with environmental resource permits
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of Civil 3D
- At least 2 years' experience with ICPR
Desired Qualifications
- Registration as a Professional Engineer or EIT
