Job Summary
Icelandic Linguist role supporting Language Support Services across YSG/TU portfolios, including interpretation (in-person and virtual), translation of written/electronic/audio/video materials, transcription, document review/editing, and foreign language instruction. Required Qualifications
- Must be qualified/certified at one of the following categories: Category I, II, III with ILR proficiency levels; CAT I/II/III linguists must be security vetted or hold appropriate clearances; English ILR level 2+ for CAT I/II, ILR level 3 for CAT III; ability to provide idiomatic translations and consecutive/interpretation; familiarity with local culture and customs; willingness to live/work in harsh environments; ability to work under high pressure and as part of a team; experience providing foreign language instruction to adult students; fluency in English and foreign language with appropriate vocabulary; ability to interpret accurately without changes or omissions; TSA/SECRET/SCI access considerations; U.S. citizenship required for certain categories; security clearance requirements per category; travel may be required; remote/live-work in CONUS environments.
