Job Summary
Ice Rink Specialist at Gallivan Center in Salt Lake City provides customer service, cashiering and cash handling, and enforces safety and facility policies for rink patrons both on and off the ice. Responsibilities include greets and processes admissions, handles skate and locker needs, answers phone calls, assists with daily records of incidents and ice conditions, assists with concession duties, and performs general cleaning. Requires First Aid/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 10 days), a food handlers permit (or ability to obtain within 10 days), and either one year of ice skating experience (e.g., with a hockey team, school program, competitive skating, or organized sports league) or one year of cashiering experience (three months at Gallivan Center may substitute). Must be at least 16 years old and available for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with 10-30 hours per week. This is a part-time role based in Salt Lake City with a salary range of $15.00-$17.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Current certification in standard First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or able to obtain within 10 days of hire
- Must possess a food handlers permit or be able to obtain one within 10 days of hire
- One year ice skating experience with hockey team/school program/competitive skating/organized sports league or one year cashiering experience
- Three months paid experience at Gallivan Center may substitute for one-year experience
