Job Summary
Teach skating lessons to participants of all ages across skill levels, adhering to program standards set by Manhattan Parks and Recreation. Follow directions from supervisors and maintain effective communication to ensure organizational goals are met while providing excellent customer service to skaters and parents. Establish professional working relationships within a team environment at the Manhattan Ice Rink in City Park. Work Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday nights during the October 30, 2026 to February 6, 2027 season, with variable shifts and weekend/holiday availability. Knowledge of ice-skating technique is required, and in-service training will be attended.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 16 years or older
- Knowledge of ice-skating technique, either figure or hockey
- Applicants must pass a background check
- Staff may be asked to work on weekends and holidays
- Staff will be required to attend in-service training
- Stands, walks, sits, uses hands, handles, feels, speaks, hears, climbs stairs, pushes, pulls, or lifts up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Training or experience in Early Childhood or Elementary Education
