Job Summary
Ice Operations Manager role overseeing ice installation, maintenance, and restoration for Tucson Convention Center facilities. Responsible for supervising staff, overseeing ice resurfacing and edging, maintaining ice quality and safety, coordinating equipment maintenance, managing inventories and supplies, and ensuring readiness for practices, games, and events. Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Management or Maintenance Engineering and a minimum of 2 years supervising or managing in a similar facility; proficiency with ice installation techniques, water treatment, safety procedures, and operating ice equipment (ice resurfacer/ice-edger) is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from technical college with major in Management or Maintenance Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Supervising or Managing in a similar facility
- Possess licenses/certificates or training required by authorities for operation of equipment (ice resurfacer/ice-edger)
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Demonstrate knowledge of ice installation, preparation and maintenance techniques
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and in a team environment
- Excellent communication and supervisory skills
- Ability to coordinate and supervise installation and maintenance of ice
- Flexibility to work extended hours including nights, weekends, holidays
