Job Summary
As an Ice Cream Specialist at United Dairy Farmers, you will provide outstanding service by following the Hi Five Guest Experience, and be primarily responsible for making hand-dipped cones, shakes, malts, and food service items for customers. You will also efficiently operate the point of sale system, manage cash transactions, stock merchandise, and maintain a clean store environment. Additionally, you need to be aware of security to minimize shop-lifting and perform maintenance tasks to keep the store organized.
Required Qualifications
- At least 16 years old
- Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English
- Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment
- Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment
- Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons and food stamps
- Ability to recognize numbers, count and do arithmetic
- Ability to move merchandise from storage to shelves/displays/freezers
- Ability to clean counters and other surfaces
- Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as -30 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as +33 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to raise at least 10 pounds from floor level to a height of 5 feet
- Ability to place an 8” x 10” x 10” package weighing 21 pounds into a dip cabinet
