Job Summary
The Ice Cream Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional guest service by preparing a variety of ice cream treats, including hand-dipped cones, shakes, and malts. This role involves operating the point of sale system and maintaining store cleanliness and organization. Essential duties include ensuring customer satisfaction, stocking merchandise, monitoring security, and adhering to safety and company policies. Candidates must effectively communicate in English and manage cash transactions, along with being able to work in varying temperature conditions and handle moderate lifting.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English
- Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment
- Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment
- Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions
- Ability to recognize numbers and do arithmetic
- Ability to move merchandise from storage to displays
- Ability to clean counters and other surfaces
- Ability to tolerate exposure to low temperatures
- Ability to lift at least 10 pounds
- Ability to place a package weighing 21 pounds into a dip cabinet
