Job Summary
The Ice Cream Specialist at United Dairy Farmers is responsible for providing exceptional guest service by preparing hand-dipped cones, shakes, and malts, while also ensuring efficient operation of the point of sale system. Duties include stocking merchandise, maintaining store cleanliness, and securing the store against theft. Essential skills required include communication, basic arithmetic, the ability to operate store equipment safely, and the capability to handle various food service transactions.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English effectively
- Ability to see to operate store equipment and conduct transactions
- Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment
- Ability to prepare DipSide items using supplies
- Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, and recognize denominations
- Ability to count and complete required records accurately
- Ability to move merchandise from storage to displays
- Ability to clean surfaces and counters
- Ability to tolerate exposure to low temperatures
- Ability to raise at least 10 pounds from floor level to a height of 5 feet
- Ability to place a package weighing 21 pounds into a dip cabinet at 3 feet high
