Job Summary
The Ice Cream Specialist at United Dairy Farmers is responsible for providing outstanding customer service by preparing hand-dipped cones, shakes, malts, and other food service items. This role involves operating the point-of-sale system accurately, stocking merchandise, maintaining store security, and ensuring cleanliness and organization of the store and parking lot. Candidates must effectively communicate with customers, understand and operate store equipment, and handle cash transactions. Physical abilities required include moving merchandise, tolerating low temperatures, and lifting items up to 21 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English
- Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment
- Ability to prepare DipSide items
- Ability to handle various forms of payment and make change accurately
- Ability to recognize numbers and complete required records
- Ability to move merchandise and clean surfaces
- Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures
- Ability to raise at least 10 pounds
- Ability to place packages into the dip cabinet
