Job Summary
The Ice Cream Specialist at United Dairy Farmers is responsible for providing exceptional guest service, making hand-dipped ice cream items, and ensuring an efficient and safe store operation. Key responsibilities include preparing various ice cream products, accurately processing transactions using the point of sale system, maintaining store cleanliness, stocking merchandise, and adhering to safety and security protocols. Required Qualifications
- At least 16 years old
- Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English effectively
- Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment
- Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment
- Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions
- Ability to recognize numbers, count and do arithmetic
- Ability to move merchandise from storage to shelves
- Ability to clean counters and other surfaces
- Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as –30 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as +33 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to raise at least 10 pounds from floor level to a height of 5 feet
- Ability to place a package weighing 21 pounds into a dip cabinet 3 feet above floor
