Job Summary
The Ice Cream Specialist at United Dairy Farmers is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by creating hand-dipped ice cream cones, shakes, and malts. Duties include operating point of sale systems accurately, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring store cleanliness and safety. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, manage cash transactions, and prepare food items while adhering to company policies and safety regulations. This entry-level part-time role requires a commitment to high service standards and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Ability to speak, hear, and understand spoken English
- Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment
- Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment
- Ability to prepare DipSide items using supplies
- Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons, and food stamps
- Ability to recognize numbers, count, and do arithmetic
- Ability to move merchandise from storage to shelves
- Ability to clean counters and other surfaces
- Ability to tolerate temperatures as low as -30 degrees Fahrenheit for at least 2 minutes
- Ability to tolerate temperatures as low as +33 degrees Fahrenheit for at least 10 minutes
- Ability to raise at least 10 pounds from floor level to a height of 5 feet
- Ability to place an 8” x 10” x 10” package weighing 21 pounds into a dip cabinet
