Job Summary
The Ice Cream Specialist at United Dairy Farmers is responsible for providing outstanding service to Guests and preparing various ice cream and food service items. Key duties include managing the Point of Sale system, stocking merchandise efficiently, maintaining security to minimize loss, ensuring cleanliness and organization of the store, and accurately completing necessary records. Candidates should possess effective communication skills, basic arithmetic abilities, and the physical capacity to handle merchandise and withstand low temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English
- Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment
- Ability to prepare DipSide items using supplies in the dip cabinets
- Ability to handle money and make change accurately
- Ability to recognize numbers, count, and do arithmetic
- Ability to lift and move merchandise
- Ability to clean counters and surfaces
- Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as -30 degrees Fahrenheit and +33 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to raise at least 10 pounds from the floor to a height of 5 feet
