Job Summary
The Ice Cream Specialist at United Dairy Farmers is responsible for providing outstanding service to Guests and ensuring an exceptional store experience. Key responsibilities include preparing hand-dipped ice cream items, operating the point of sale system efficiently, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store. The role requires effective communication with customers, stock management, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and handling merchandise. Minimum qualifications include being at least 16 years old and having the ability to communicate in English.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Ability to speak, hear, and understand spoken English effectively
- Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment
- Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment
- Ability to prepare DipSide items using supplies
- Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, and food stamps
- Ability to recognize numbers, count, and do arithmetic
- Ability to move merchandise from storage to shelves/displays/freezers
- Ability to clean counters and other surfaces
- Ability to tolerate exposure to extreme temperatures
- Ability to lift at least 10 pounds from floor level to 5 feet
- Ability to place a package weighing 21 pounds into a dip cabinet
