Job Summary
Senior Project Engineer to lead end-to-end capital delivery and manufacturing transformation at Covington site; responsibilities include defining scope, cost estimation, schedule management, contractor coordination, risk mitigation, and integration of automation, controls, and digital manufacturing solutions across safety, quality, capacity, and infrastructure; role involves cross-functional collaboration with Manufacturing, Safety, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, R&D, and site leadership to translate business needs into scalable engineering solutions, drive line modernization, and advance smart factory initiatives; requires strong engineering judgment, project leadership, and ability to influence across a broad stakeholder group in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and long-term asset performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Automation, Controls, or related engineering discipline
- 7+ years of engineering experience in food manufacturing, consumer products, FMCG, or similarly complex industrial environment
- Demonstrated experience leading capital projects in manufacturing environments, including scope definition, budget management, contractor oversight, commissioning, and handover
- Practical experience with automation, controls, process systems, utilities, packaging systems, or digital manufacturing technologies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and communicate from factory floor to site leadership
