Job Summary
Supervise daily Dairy Store/Parlor operations, including opening and closing procedures, while leading team members to ensure efficient task completion. Greet and assist customers, scoop ice cream, and prepare milkshakes and sundaes in a fast-paced environment. Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment inside and outside the store, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations. Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally, while assisting with training and coaching team members. Work approximately 40 hours per week including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Requires ability to stand for entire shifts and lift items up to 50 lbs. Toft Dairy, Ohio's oldest dairy, values a One Quality, One Team philosophy.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Previous food service and/or leadership experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Team-oriented mindset with strong leadership skills
- Trustworthy, reliable, punctual, and flexible
- Ability to stand and remain on your feet for the entire shift (excluding breaks)
- Frequently lift, carry, and move items such as tubs of ice cream, soft serve mix, and supplies (up to 25–50 lbs.)
- Perform repetitive motions such as scooping, reaching, bending, and twisting
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures, including refrigerated and freezer areas
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent customer interaction
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
