Job Summary
Maintenance Technician will support the production team by providing equipment repair and preventive maintenance on sophisticated packaging and process equipment to ensure continuous operation. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical components; dismantling and reassembling equipment; replacing faulty relays, switches, motors and sensors; monitoring meters and adjusting controls; performing calibration, lubrication, welding and line checks; maintaining maintenance logs and work orders; troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment with diagnostic tools. Role operates in a 24/7 high-paced manufacturing environment for brands like Klondike, Popsicle, Breyers, and Good Humor.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate degree in mechanical/technical program or completion of an apprentice program OR one year of technical school training in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, electronic, fluid and programmable logic controllers
- 3+ years industrial maintenance experience
- Experience in food manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to pass NOCTI exam if selected to interview
