Job Summary
Maintain and repair electrical equipment, instrumentation, gas turbine, steam turbine control systems, generators, transformers, and switchgear. Monitor, maintain, and repair plant Distributed Control System (DCS) and control systems. Perform routine troubleshooting, calibrate systems, and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to execute maintenance efficiently. Optimize preventative maintenance programs to meet OEM recommendations and regulatory requirements. Maintain logs, manuals, records, blueprints, and operating procedures; provide written reports on control system conditions when required. Incorporate safe behavior into all activities and comply with established safety and health policies. This Journey-level role requires 2-5 years of experience in instrument/electrical and control system applications, with a preference for Mark VI and Emerson Ovation systems. Candidates must possess advanced certifications, a valid driver's license, and strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of chemistry, physics, electricity, and mathematics.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, degree from technical/vocational school or equivalent
- Journey-level; 2-5 years' experience in instrument/electrical and control system applications
- Strong mechanical aptitude with an advanced understanding of chemistry, physics, electricity, and mathematics
- Experience with DCS programming and configuration
- Advanced certifications/licensures
- Valid state driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred experience with Mark VI Control System and Emerson Ovation Control System
