Job Summary
Conduct complex engineering assignments in design, development, analysis, testing, and field problem resolution for nuclear energy projects. Independently review department work products, perform root cause analyses, and propose solutions to supervisors while ensuring compliance with government and industry standards. Develop adapted products, methods, and systems using advanced software tools like CAD and FEA, alongside control system programming in VB, LabVIEW, and C++. Troubleshoot equipment down to the board level and collaborate across mechanical, pneumatic, and electronics disciplines to deliver value-added technologies powering millions of homes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline
- Dependent on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science may also be accepted
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience
- Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria
- Excellent communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed technical data
- Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills
- Displays leadership characteristics
- Exhibits questioning attitude and practices self-checking
- Advanced level of specific software tools (CAD, FEA, CFD) and programming skills
- Control System (hardware and software) Design and Programming (VB, LabVIEW, C++)
- Motion Control and System Integration Experience
- Troubleshooting down to the board level of equipment with field experience
- Comfortable with inter-disciplinary design and collaboration combining mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electronics, electrical, software, etc
- Experience in analog and digital controls
- Offers are contingent on background check and drug screen (where applicable)
