Job Summary
Provide 24x7x365 operational support for IBM Power i systems, executing incident resolution, backup and recovery, patching, and replication management using MIMIX, QEDD, and Itera. Monitor system health, performance, and availability via tools like Halcyon, while responding to system message queues and managing job scheduler tasks. Accept and resolve customer operational tickets through integrated ticketing systems, document procedures, and participate in disaster recovery testing exercises. Requires 3–7 years of IBM i experience and ability to work in a 24x7 environment. Located in Pune with 100% telecommute option.
Required Qualifications
- IBM i (iSeries / OS/400) experience
- HA/DR technologies (MIMIX, QEDD)
- IBM i Access client Solutions experience
- IBM i BRMS experience including physical and virtual tape libraries
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly document issues and communicate with technical and non-technical users
- ITIL process knowledge
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in 24x7 environments
- 3–7+ years IBM Power i experience
- Degree in IT or equivalent experience
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Desired Qualifications
- Managed services experience preferred
