Job Summary
Fluent middle school and high school Spanish teacher to plan, deliver the IB DP and IB MYP Spanish courses, using a focus on target-language communication, inquiry-based learning, and collaborative curriculum development; responsibilities include unit design, assessment, cross-grade collaboration, academic and parent communications, and active participation in school life and events.
Required Qualifications
- Current and Valid Teacher certification through the BC Teacher Regulation Branch.
- Bachelor’s degree in Spanish.
- Master’s degree in progress or completed in a related field is an asset.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Language Acquisition teaching.
- Experience teaching in an immersion setting is an asset.
- Familiarity and experience within an IB Diploma Programme and IB Middle Years Programme setting an asset.
