Job Summary

Develop and maintain IATF 16949 compliant quality management systems and processes. Lead internal and external audits, including customer and certification reviews. Drive continuous improvement using core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC) to enhance product quality and process efficiency. Manage customer quality concerns through root cause analysis, corrective actions (8D), and preventative measures. Facilitate Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions for new and revised products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product introduction to ensure quality requirements are met from design to launch. Conduct supplier quality assessments and support supplier development activities to ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field
  • 3+ years experience in quality engineering within an automotive manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with IATF 16949 standards and core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC)
  • Proven ability to lead problem-solving initiatives using methodologies like 8D, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa diagrams

Desired Qualifications

  • ASQ certifications (e.g., CQE, CSSBB)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
  • Experience with AIAG core tools beyond APQP (e.g., FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP)
  • Familiarity with specific customer quality portals and requirements (e.g., Ford Q1, GM BIQS)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior quality personnel
