Job Summary

Develop and implement IATF 16949 compliant quality management system processes while conducting internal and external audits to ensure adherence. Lead problem-solving activities using core tools like 8D, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa to address non-conformities and drive root cause analysis. Manage APQP activities, including FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and PPAP submissions for new product launches and engineering changes. Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, recommend corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure their quality systems and products meet IATF 16949 requirements and company standards. Provide training and support to manufacturing teams on quality standards, tools, and methodologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related technical field
  • 3+ years experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated expertise in IATF 16949 standards and their practical application
  • Proven ability to utilize core quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC)

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with AIAG core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC) beyond basic application
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and train colleagues on quality principles and tools
  • Proficient in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for quality trend analysis
  • Bilingual in a relevant manufacturing language (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin, German)
