Job Summary
Develop and execute a business growth strategy for medical device manufacturers, OEMs, and contract manufacturing organizations. Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within target accounts and market segments. Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders including engineering, sourcing, quality, manufacturing, and executive leadership. Lead the sales process from prospecting through opportunity qualification, application development, negotiation, and closing. Collaborate with cross-functional technical, marketing, and sales teams to align products and solutions with customer application requirements. Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecasting, and opportunity tracking process using CRM tools. Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to identify growth opportunities and risks. Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events. Support pricing strategy, contract discussions, and commercial negotiations in alignment with business objectives. Serve as the voice of the customer by communicating market requirements to internal stakeholders. Partner with operations and supply chain teams to support customer satisfaction, continuity of supply, and issue resolution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Five (5) years of combined experience working sales and / or marketing in a private, public, government or military environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)
- All US-based 3M full time employees will need to sign an employee agreement as a condition of employment with 3M
- Corporate policies, procedures and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties
- Contribute to a strong Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) culture by following safety policies, identifying hazards, and engaging in continuous improvement
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with medical device materials, components, manufacturing processes, product design, or production environments
- Demonstrated success in managing complex sales cycles and strategic customer relationships
- Technical aptitude to translate customer application needs into commercial opportunities
- Experience working with global or multi-site customers
- Expert knowledge and experience with key account management
- Experience partnering with Value-Added Resellers like Distribution and Converters
- Possess broad knowledge of multiple related disciplines
- Proven experience working with cross-functional senior leaders
- Strong analytical skills with experience analyzing point of sale, CRM, and other business intelligence data to recommend promotional growth programs
