Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate outcome-based care for patients with chest pain, pneumonia, orthopedic surgery, and bariatric surgery diagnoses on a 21-bed acute care unit. Supervise and coordinate patient care provided by LPNs, Patient Care Assistants, and other nursing team members while facilitating communication with physicians, families, and other departments. Utilize evidence-based practice and critical thinking to perform all defined services in accordance with MercyOne's mission, vision, and values. Work nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM across a 13-week duration.
Required Qualifications
- RN Medical / Surgical
- Through evidence-based practice, the RN utilizes critical thinking to assess, plan, implement and evaluate outcome based care of patients
- The RN supervises and coordinates care provided to patients by the LPN, Patient Care Assistants and other nursing team members
- The RN facilitates communication with physicians, patient and family, other departments and/or team members
- Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations
- performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values of MercyOne
